Eurotunnel manages, maintains and operates the Channel Tunnel Fixed Link Concession between Folkestone and Coquelles, France. Opened on 6 May 1994, the Fixed Link is a rolling motorway which transports passenger and commercial freight vehicles on board Shuttles across the Channel at 140kph, in 35 minutes. It also allows the running of third party passenger and railfreight trains. The advantages of the Channel Tunnel are security, reliability, speed, frequency and respect for the environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated Permit Office Controller to join our Prevention department. Based at our terminal in Folkestone, you will be part of a team of Controllers contributing actively to the control of the risks linked to works. In addition, providing enhanced monitoring of worksites by carrying out safety inspections to improve safety performance. The successful individual will ideally have experience of direct involvement in safety activities to ensure that they have a good knowledge of health and safety requirements. In addition, ideally they must have a good working knowledge of the railway environment and tunnel works.
