Kent Wildlife Trust
Head of Finance
Closing Date: Monday 17th January 2022, midday
Interview Date: w/c 24th January 2022
Salary Range: The salary for this post is commensurate with skills and experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Kent
We have an agile working policy where staff can work from home, office or other agreed remote location. The location of employment will be the individual’s nearest Kent hub. Globally and nationally, wildlife is in steep decline. We appear to be reaching critical tipping points around the loss of biodiversity as well as around climate change, both being interlinked. Human society cannot prosper without wildlife and healthy ecosystems. Kent’s wildlife needs to be restored to much higher levels. We can no longer allow common things to become rare. We can only do this by restoring large-scale habitat from degraded land. Doing this will contribute to solving global problems. But we won’t be able to do this unless we publicly aspire to a higher level of impact and show that we can deliver this. We are looking for a diligent and forward-thinking Head of Finance to ensure the Kent Wildlife Trust Group functions securely and efficiently supported by robust, resilient systems and wholly in control of the resources needed to deliver its charitable objects, monitoring the long-term financial viability of the Trust. This role will play a key part in driving the ongoing improvement of KWT’s financial management systems as part of the organisation’s digital transition and switch to a more data-led culture. With the experience of working at a senior level in a charity, your strong technical knowledge of charitable accounting and cloud-based accounting software will be a real asset to the role.
