JOB TITLE: Community Sports Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Sport

The ethos of the school is one of shared responsibility, to which staff are expected to make a significant contribution. The expectation is that staff will present themselves professionally, be positive and contribute constructively to the life and work of the school.

Job Purpose

To have responsibility, under the direction of the Director of Sport, for planning, coordinating, organising, directing and controlling all functions associated with the school’s community sports provision.
Specific Duties:
• To have oversight of all community bookings of sports facilities.
• To be responsible for all sporting areas during community time.
• To ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed during community usage.
• To ensure all sport and fitness suite equipment is maintained and monitored in accordance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
• To work with the Site Team to maintain and manage the security of allocated buildings and control access to all areas within them.
• To monitor the work of employees, compile duty lists and ensure that staff are trained to enable the Sports Centre to run smoothly and efficiently.
• To ensure staff work within the school’s code of conduct and the accepted standards for support staff.
• To be responsible for all financial targets, pricing, budgetary transactions and monetary management within the Sports Centre.
• To audit and monitor community usage and produce reports for business development purposes.
• To market the provision and create promotional material to ensure that usage of the facilities is optimised.
• To report to the Director of Sport any information, queries or problems related to the Sports Centre and community provision.
