We have an exciting opportunity to join our Information Services department, as Student Data Systems Technical Lead. In this role, you provide technical leadership to developers within the Student Data Systems team and lead development of new and existing business critical systems.

You will provides leadership in delivering an excellent student experience to both current and prospective students of the University as well as helping to shape the future of the University’s student data systems which support the whole student lifecycle.

As Student Data Systems Technical Lead you will:
• Provide effective leadership and be an enabler of matrix and virtual team working across the section and with other IS sections
• Develop the technical strategy for development of business critical student data systems to deliver excellent service for staff and students
• Lead developers within the team, organising team working and development processes in order to deliver enhancements and developments within the agreed scope, budget, timescale and quality

To succeed in this role you will:
• Be educated to graduate level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Have experience with the software development and implementation lifecycle
• Knowledge of good development practices and coding standards including use of source code repositories
