The School of Engineering, Technology and Design is a new School within which we are growing computing and developing engineering. The School sits within the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences. The Faculty has in the region of 1200 students studying across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The School wishes to appoint a Technician to support the Engineering learning provision. You will have the opportunity to support a team of engineering educators and contribute to the development of a problem-based/CDIO curriculum which will produce work-ready graduates that can research and design inclusive engineering solutions for society’s benefit.

The post holder will maintain and assist with the running of the engineering spaces and assist with the delivery of practical sessions integrated with the curriculum to students of Engineering programmes working with Academic staff as the subject matter experts. The post holder will bring Engineering/Science/Chemistry expertise to assist lecturers, support students and ensure the maintenance of facilities and preparation for practicals is undertaken. Specific engineering experience would be advantageous. This post reports to the Engineering Technical Manager.
