The Role:

This is an exciting new role that will support our ever-expanding Migrant Help team and contribute to the overall success of the organisation in line with its aims and objectives.

You will work closely with the Head of Communications to lead and champion digital engagement across the organisation. You will feed into our digital strategies and ensure effective delivery and evaluation of all digital activities. This includes websites, online marketing, online engagement, social networks, online fundraising, video, etc., all geared towards achieving greater visibility and fundraising success.

This is an exciting time to join the Communications Team as we explore new ways of reaching audiences and sharing the stories of our clients. Aiming for a year of high impact, we are looking at new initiatives and growing the voice of our organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead on the development and implementation of social media and marketing strategies that will increase the reach and impact of the charity’s work and support its fundraising efforts
Lead and champion digital engagement across the organisation
Undertake the necessary monitoring and evaluation to determine the success or otherwise of our communications activities
Line management
Generate awareness of charity and issues, and drive traffic to digital activities through online marketing and communications
Continually improve our website to provide trusted, interesting, informative and personalised online content which is up to date
Keep up to date with current trends and developments and ensure we remain timely and current in our use of digital media
Write or approve digital content for our website, social media outlets and marketing materials
Develop and optimise digital and social media outputs, including images, video and audio to reach wide-ranging target audiences
Contribute to effective external and internal communications
Assist with compiling and organising publication of promotional and marketing materials
Work closely with all departments to ensure brand, key messaging and tone of voice are used correctly and consistently across all communication
Work towards accessibility in all content across a range of devices
Raise visibility and enhance Migrant Help’s status as having a positive impact on the community
Coordinate internal (and external) content creators
Review promotional materials in light of brand voice
Review and implementation of an image/video library and asset management
Support the charity’s fundraising activities
Assist with the planning, organising and promotion of Migrant Help events and conferences and provide support for external conferences and events as required


The above list of job duties is not exhaustive; the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
