Are you an experienced administrator with excellent customer service skills? If so this varied and fast paced role could be ideal.

This part-time position, based at our Medway Campus will provide support in the areas of student administration to all Higher Degree and Apprenticeship (HDA) programmes within the Academic Division for the Study of Law, Society and Social Justice (LSSJ).

You will assist, in a support capacity, with the day to day planning, administration and delivery of the HDA programmes. You will be self-motivated, highly organised and have a strong commitment to providing consistently high-quality service to students, apprentices (prospective and current), their employers and academic staff.

This is a permanent position; working 17.5 hours per week, preferably over 4 days.

As a Student Administration Coordinator (Degree Apprenticeship Programme) you can expect to:

Ensure apprentice records, programmes databases and student data systems, are accurate and up to date in line with University policy and GDPR requirements
Manage the assessment and examination processes of the Division’s HDA programmes
Take a proactive role in developing and enhancing the administrative processes within the Division in line with changes to systems, ways of working and codes of practices, to ensure that the Division’s HDA programmes run smoothly
Respond to all HDA programme enquiries, providing information and assistance to staff and apprentices of the Division, as well as handling internal and external enquiries from potential apprentices and employers relating to the Division’s apprenticeship programmes
What we are looking for:

Educated to A Level or equivalent, with GSCE (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent in Maths and English
Experience of working in a similar administrative post and/or level, within a customer facing office environment
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal pleasantly, confidently and effectively with customers and colleagues
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages (intermediate level)
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and accurately with a wide range of people (internal and external)
Experience of using and managing data in line with GDPR and handling sensitive matters with discretion
