Senior Analyst (Global Insurance Sector)

- Global Insurance Broker
- Salary to £55,000
- Permanent Contract
- Based in the City of London

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced BI, MI or Data Analyst with broad technical capabilities and competence in delivering insightful management information and in-depth analysis.

You will join a dedicated team who utilise data and information held within the business in order to offer clients the best possible insurance solutions.The team apply their knowledge and experience, on both a micro and macro scale, to understand existing and developing risks across all major industries and geographies. With this insight, the team is equipped to identify and select the best markets for placing risks - locally, regionally, and globally - across all industries and sectors.

You will support the placement of risks on a global basis, through the analysis of MI data and in the development, delivery and maintenance of key management information system applications and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
· Perform insightful analysis and in-depth data reviews, ensuring efficacy and accuracy.
· Leverage data to assist in the design and execution of process and business solutions.
· Project manage strategic initiatives.
· Assist with the design, development, deployment and embedding of key MI systems and reporting solutions (VBA, Access, Excel).
· Act as the primary point of contact for system maintenance activities and data checks.
· Ensure a proactive approach to business analysis and reporting, partnering with relevant stakeholders and acting as a key link between support and carrier-facing colleagues
· Work with colleagues across the globe to understand limitations in data, system issues and difference in processing business

Skill Set:
- A proven background utilising analytical skills in order deliver management information, ideally within the Insurance sector
· Some project management and business analysis, preferred.
· Previous experience of recognising errors or inconsistencies in reporting output, and supporting application development projects to work towards a resolution.
· Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-lookups & ideally Macros) are essential
· Strong technical capabilities in tools and applications such as VBA, MS Access and Qlik, for the purposes of application development and reporting would be an advantage
· Very high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail and an ability to self-check work prior to review
