We are looking for a dynamic individual to Procure Plant and Materials which are Essential to the delivery of the Companies day to day work load.

Ultimately you will create and maintain good relationships with Key Suppliers to ensure that all materials and Plant are delivered on time.

You will also be involved in the supply chain management process, pulling together enquiries and helping the team to realise best value from its current and expanding supply chain.

You will be expected support the estimating team in producing low value estimates for Key Clients. Turning around estimates from site surveys, using pre-set schedules of rates.

You must be computer literate, commercially astute, and be superb at relationship management, both internally and externally.

Must be able to work within a high-pressure environment working to tight deadlines maintaining in house KPI’s.

Requirements

Solid construction background with a firm understanding of construction techniques ESSENTIAL
Proven track record within Procurement and or Estimating
Hands on experience of Purchasing
Understanding of supply chain procedures
Solid analytical skills with the ability to produce cost analysis sheets
Negotiation skills and techniques
Solid construction background with a firm understanding of construction techniques.
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Estimating / Procurement Software Packages

Education

Educated to a minimum of A level or equivalent, with a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
(This can be flexible depending on the right individual with the right experience)
C.I.P.S. qualifications would be preferable but not essential

Salary Levels

Salary will be dependent on Experience
20 Days Holiday – 3 days to be taken at Christmas

Hours 8.00 - 5.30pm
