Blue Arrow are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our clients Warehouse department as a Supervisor/Team leader. You will take on the responsibility of ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable operation of your shift.
This role reports to the Warehouse Manager, also working closely with the early late and early Team leader, as well as a number of other departments across the business. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 22.00 to 07.00
Interesting and challenging role you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the loading and unloading of the vehicles, containers and trailers.
- To report any shortage or damage to consignments and record any such occurrences on the required documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy.
Ensuring a high standard of good housekeeping, health & safety, cleanliness and security
liaise with departmental managers with regard to any issues; training and development of the team including appraisals; deal with any personnel issues including return to works and disciplinary issues and covering the Managers in his absence.
Desirable Experience
- experience in a similar supervisory role in a warehouse environment including people management skills .
Previous Health & Safety experience including investigating workplace accidents/near misses
