The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has awarded the University of Kent funding from the Cultural Development Fund to work with partners to deliver an ambitious project - Creative Estuary. This builds on the vision for the Thames Estuary Production Corridor to develop one of Europe’s most integrated and productive creative regions. The bid focuses on locations along the Estuary, in particular North Kent and South Essex
RE:Generation 2031 is a key element of Creative Estuary. You will lead the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of an innovative approach to developing the creative skills and training of young people aged 16-25 years in disadvantaged areas of North Kent and South Essex. This new model will be developed in partnership with others in HE and Further Education, schools, creative freelancers and creative businesses, skills agencies and young people themselves.
The project will aim to address and develop solutions to the challenges faced by small businesses and freelancers in terms of capacity and financial support to enable them to deliver skills and training.
You will have a proven track record of successfully working with young people to develop creative skills in partnership with a diverse range of creative businesses and stakeholders.
The Skills Development Manager will be based at the University of Kent campus in Medway and will be expected to travel frequently across North Kent and South Essex.

Arts and Culture includes Gulbenkian, Colyer-Fergusson Concert Hall and the development of University Arts and Cultural activity regionally, nationally and internationally.
