Are you a HGV Class 1 driver seeking work?

The Best Connection Employment Group are currently seeking a Class 1 driver to fulfil an ongoing position in Sittingbourne.


Start Times:

Range between 05:00 - 07:00.


Shift patterns:

Monday-Friday


Shift duration:

10-15 hours


The role itself requires the candidate to deliver paper reels, completing 1-3 drops per day.

On an average day, you will making a delivery to Leicestershire, making a collection on the way back and finally dropping at the Sittingbourne yard.

Before commencing, you will be required to complete a driving assessment, along with a theory test at the site.

When you arrive at the assessment, you will be asked to complete a health and safety test, Highway code test and a tacho test.

It is essential you are fully prepared for these tests, and you have a strong understanding of the highway code and driver hours rules.

If you pass the theory test, you will be asked to complete a driving assessment.


Pay Rates:

PAYE:

Monday-Friday: £11.34 Per Hour

Driving Time bonus: £2.63 Per Hour (After 12 weeks)

(For all driven hours, you will receive a bonus of £2.63 per hour, on top of you standard pay rate, totalling £13.97 per hour when driving)


You will always receive a minimum of 8 hours pay.


To be eligible for this position you must possess:

- Category C+E Licence
- Valid CPC
- Valid Digi-Card
- Strong understanding of driver hours rules
- 2 Years experience operating a Class 1 vehicle is preferred, but not essential
- No more than 3 points on your licence
