Hays are currently recruiting for a Full time Planting Shop Operative for our client based in the Kent area.


The Plating Shop Operative is responsible for producing plated components whilst ensuring maximum targets are met in terms of output. The operator must also ensure that all work schedules are carried out in order to satisfy customer demands whilst delivering high quality components.


Job competencies, Key Skills and Experience


* Knowledge, understanding and good practice of COSHH
* Knowledge of the electro plating process
* Knowledge of basic chemistry
* Attention to detail
* Good organisational skills
* Problem solving ability
* Good communication skills
* A flexible approach


Key accountabilities


* To electro plate components
* Once the components have been received into the plating area, assess the best way to jig up to achieve maximum productivity and quality
* To run the components through the chemistry process ensuring that regular checks are made
* Ensure that all timings are met
* Make any additions to the chemicals as required
* On completion of the process rinse and dry all components
