Job Location: Head Office – Dartford, Kent. We may require the new appointee to have a handover period within our COVID secure office. After this period, we will discuss if there is a need for any home working as per government guidance, however in usual circumstances this is an office role.

Purpose of the role
The Accounts Manager is responsible for supporting the directors of ER Productions and any other company within the group, across all financial obligations. This includes managing the daily operation of the accounts, monitoring and analysing accounting data, producing financial reports and statements, assisting with the preparation of HMRC returns, supporting documentation and establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods and using our internal ERP system.

ER Productions is a small company, and we all have a wide range of responsibilities. The main role of an Finance Manager is detailed here as a guide and is not limited to only these tasks.
Tax Compliance (10% of role)
Timely preparation of VAT Returns and submission via MTD
HMRC C79 VAT reclamation
Accounts (60% of role)
All aspects of Sales ledger accounting, processing and nominal coding
All aspects of Purchase ledger accounting processing and nominal coding
Maintain asset register
Supplier statement reconciliation
Expense claim recording/payment
Produce management financial/profitability reports
Assist and liaise with company accountants through the year and with year-end process
Bank (15% of role)
Deposits and daily reconciliation of all bank accounts
Responsible for bank transfers between accounts, BACS payments and international transfers
Monitor direct debit payments, obtain invoices and reconcile account balances
Payroll/HR (5% of role)
Administration, contribution submission, auto enrolment and communications with employees in regard to ER Pension Scheme
Administration, enrolment and communications with employees in regard to Wellbeing schemes
Completion of new starter forms for payroll submission
Payroll and maintenance of ER Working Time directives spreadsheet
P11D / P60 submission and distribution
Intention to bring Payroll fully in-house in time
Any other tasks as requested by the directors
Education / Qualification
Desirable CIMA or AAT Level 4
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Attention to detail
Sage and XERO accounting packages
Understanding of Payroll processes
Discretion handling sensitive information.
