Description Multifix is a well established family business formed in 1993 and has built up a reputation of quality, stock availability, technical back-up, and personal service to the construction industry.

We are recruiting for a Senior Buyer for our Procurement department.

Duties include:

•Purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
•This role has greater responsibility and accountability than a Buyer and includes some people management responsibility.
•Track deliveries and update order records (e.g., dates, invoices, and discounts.
•To schedule and forecast stock orders to meet changing demands.
•Provide accurate, timely and auditable assistance in the administration of the purchasing, ensuring that processes are fully compliant with Multifix’s procedures.
•Plan and manage all overseas shipments in relation to stock and Market trends.
•Responsible for gathering all the necessary licences and documentation for overseas deliveries.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

•Experience in a similar role, including the understanding of processes, policies, and procedures.
•Experience in providing customer service support.
•Proficiency in English.
•Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
•Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail.
•Awareness of industry’s latest technology trends and applications.
•Strong client-facing and communication skills.
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
•Customer service orientation.
•Organised and able to work to deadlines.
•Confident in using IT systems i.e., excel, word.
•Basic mathematical knowledge.
•High school diploma or college degree preferred.

Salary: £35,000 per annum upwards depending on previous experience.

Location: The role will be based in new offices in an attractive rural setting in Boxley.

Benefits: 20 days basic holiday with Christmas close down, Pension plan and personal development. Access to BHSF Rise – Employee Health & Wellbeing Service.

Working hours: 8 hours per day - Monday – Friday
