If you have food preparation experience with excellent customer service skills this could be the role for you. We are looking for a Catering Assistant to assist in the production of food, delivering a high-quality catering service to University staff, students and visitors.

You will assist with the daily preparation of food required for the standard menus, daily specials and recipes, maintaining the required standard of food production whilst ensuring compliance with all aspects of health, safety and hygiene standards and the adherence to relevant legislation.

You will need to be enthusiastic and demonstrate passion towards menu development and the progression of our catering offer and remain calm and efficient, even in times of extreme pressure.

You must be flexible regarding hours and approach to work and be prepared to work in any of our catering outlets to ensure our high standards are maintained campus wide.

In return we offer a 35 hour working week on a Monday to Sunday rota, 5/7 days, regular overtime during busy periods up to 48 hours per week and paid time off when we are closed over Christmas and the New Year, a rarity in catering!

As Catering Assistant, you will need:

Food Hygiene Certificate

Food preparation experience

Excellent customer service skills
