We have an exciting opportunity to join our Information Services department as Systems Administrator with a particular focus on Microsoft 365 identity provisioning. As part of the Infrastructure Development section in Information services, you will work to ensure the University’s current and future IT Infrastructure requirements are met.
You will take responsibility within the team for developing the identity management and account lifecycle systems, working closely with colleagues in other teams to ensure flow of student and staff data to key systems. You will also be working on Microsoft 365 provisioning and continuing the integration of Azure AD into the Universities existing infrastructure and systems.
As Systems Administrator you will:
• Develop and deploy appropriate server (physical and virtual) and storage infrastructure across the Canterbury, Medway and other campuses
• Working with other members of the University, and/or with external suppliers to maintain compatibility and to ensure suitability of proposed solutions
• Maintain and promote suitably secure systems and processes to protect the University data and comply with current legislation
• Contribute to the success of the Infrastructure Development section and to a mature, supportive and proactive team culture
To succeed in this role you will:
• Be educated to graduate level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Have experience working in an enterprise IT environment as a server administrator
• Have experience of writing PowerShell for scripting and automation
• Have experience of directory services and identity management
• Have experience of working with Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services in a hybrid environment.
