Care Worker

£17,374.50 Per Annum

Our client, a specialist national charity located in Canterbury, is currently looking to recruit a Care Worker.

You will be working shifts from 7.15am - 2.45pm and 2.15pm - 9.45pm. You will be required to work full time including weekends and bank holidays.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Deliver a person-centred service for the people that use their services.
* To include support of personal care, administering medication and maintaining records.
* To work with the staff team to enhance, develop and maintain the potential of the people using our services.
* To assist in keeping the home clean and tidy.

Person Specification

* Experience of residential/supported living or equivalent is beneficial.
* NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Care or equivalent (or the ability and commitment to work towards achieving it within 12 months).
* CACDP Level 1 or willingness to learn British Sign Language skills.
* The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the people they support (e.g. to fully work within a shift rota system, with rotas subject to change).
