You will lead and manage our new community mental health recovery service. The service supports people who have enduring mental health issues and those with complex social factors affecting their ability to live independently. It works with people when other services are not quite right for their needs – possibly because support is too short-term or doesn’t consider wider factors impacting on their mental health.
You will manage a small team working in Dartford, Gravesend, Medway and Swale. You will also lead on the development and oversight of a small peer service that enables people with similar experiences to support one another.
The role requires:
- A good understanding of mental health issues
- Experience of working with people affected by mental health and knowledge of mental health services
- The ability to develop and support a team
- An understanding of quality assurance processes
- Experience of developing a service
- The ability to develop strong working relationships with other professionals and organisations
- Experience of working independently and managing your own workload
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
Interview date: 26th April 2021
