Goldhawk Associates are supporting a regional Firm of Accountants who are looking to appoint a Practice Accountant/Portfolio Manager to their Chatham office. They are looking for someone with previous experience of working within a generalist firm in a multidisciplinary position with experience of providing support to their client base as the firm provide advisory services, accounts, taxation, and audit. This will be a key role within the management team and will support the Partner directly.

This is a reputable generalist firm with a number of regional offices in the South East with a proactive approach to its service provision and prides itself on their client services and relationships. The client base is varied, and you will be responsible for providing technical and advisory support to a wide-ranging portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced qualified accountant who is looking to work within a professional team with wide ranging exposure to a varied and interesting client base.

You will be responsibilities for:

Managing your own profile of clients providing accounting services and advisory support

Reviewing of statutory and management accounts for LTD Cos, sole traders, partnerships, and some larger PLC`s

Tax advisory services including corporation tax, VAT, Director`s tax etc.

Servicing clients effectively, selling services and working to budget

Attending client meetings and annual accounts reviews

Managing, planning, and the workload for the portfolio and the team in a timely and effective manner

Mentoring and developing junior staff members

This is an ideal job opportunity for an ACCA/ACA Qualified accountant working in a public practice accountancy firm looking for a client facing and client management role. It is key that you have strong interpersonal skills and can demonstrate previous experience in a similar working environment. They are a small and friendly team and need someone to work to support the Partner and at the same time be able to mentor and support the team.
