We are working with a renowned HGV MRO/Engineering business based in the Swale area who are seeking to add to their current team with a Trainee Mechanical Engineer/Fitters Mate with immediate start available. To be successful you will need to demonstrate an interest in automotive engineering and be seeking a career within this sector. You will also need to have gained Maths and English qualification at equivalent of C or above.

The role is a full time permanent opportunity, working Monday to Friday and some early starts may be required. You will be enrolled onto a formal NVQ level course to complete formal accreditation alongside the daily hands on work.

You will work with senior engineers to learn about the skills required to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul to a variety of industrial vehicles and equipment and be prepared to start at apprentice level, taking on all tasks as required and receiving mentor and training in the workplace and at college.

In addition to paid employment at rates above age related NLW you will gain skills in mechanical maintenance, pneumatic & hydraulics, basic electrical systems, welding and other related engineering processes.
