HR Associate

Salary: TSAT Paygroup 3 £22,818 - £26,997 per annum -Please note this is subject to agreement in line with September 2022 salary increases but the amounts shown are a minimum of what you will earn
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year –
Location: Trust Central Offices, New Horizon’s Children’s Academy, Chatham or The Portsmouth Academy, Portsmouth (Hybrid working opportunities available)

The Role

We are looking for a HR Associate to join our HR team to support the management of HR associated administration and compliance. This is an ideal opportunity for someone either looking for their first role in HR or an experienced HR member of staff looking to develop.
We are passionate about developing our staff and we would be willing to fund the successful applicant’s qualification in HR or payroll.
This role is all an all year-round role for 37 hours per a week however we would be willing to accept applications from applicants looking for part time hours and would encourage you to contact us.
We run an in-house HR function, offering HR , Recruitment and Payroll services to our schools covering the entire employee life cycle. To learn more about our HR service please reach out to us via email – s.arnold@tsatrust.org.uk
We are always looking for ways to offer our customers an even better service and you will play a part in shaping this service and ensuring that our payroll function is highly effective and offers great customer services to our schools.

What you will need to succeed:

For further details please see the attached JD and person specification
Experience of working in an administrative function
Knowledge of HR and payroll legislation would be an advantage but can be taught on the job
Experience working within an operational HR and payroll team would be a distinct advantage
Hardworking individual with accurate attention to details
Quick to learn and motivated to deliver a high level service to our schools
Good ICT skills and knowledge of MS products in particular Word and Excel
Able to work independently and manage own workload and time effectively
Maintain confidentiality inside and outside of the workplace
