Our client a successful freight forwarder is looking for a Deep Sea Freight Import Operator to join their team in Essex.

Key responsibilities of the Deep Sea Import Operator:


Liaising with overseas agents, hauliersReceiving pre-alerts from overseas agents in the Far East and USCreating files both manually and on the computer systemAdvising customers of arrival of cargo into the UKPlanning loads and sending load lists to agentsChecking manifests once receivedReceiving and checking relevant import documentation and passing on to shipping linesCustoms clearance using ChiefPlanning and arranging deliveriesCharging filesPassing purchase invoices and dealing with any queries
