We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join our friendly team in Maidstone. This is an office based role, and the successful candidate will work 35 hours per week (hours to be discussed). You will be working closely with clients, and the wider team to ensure smooth financial operations. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping using cloud software, articularly QuickBooks and Xero Assisting accountants to ensure smooth handover of year-end data Preparing VAT Returns Processing CIS calculations as part of the bookkeeping Managing accounts payable and receivable Bank Reconciliations Assisting clients with bookkeeping issues and queries Training clients to use QuickBooks and Xero Keeping up to date with relevant industry topics Working on own initiative, including travel to clients across Kent (own transport required) Meeting deadlines for filings Maintaining strong relationships with clients Skills, Qualifications & Experience Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks Strong data entry sk
