Medway, Kent

Chicago Glass (UK) Ltd

Chicago Glass is a leading restoration company working closely with those in the Construction Industry to restore damaged glass and framework. We pride ourselves on providing our clients with an alternative cost effective solution, high quality repairs and quick response time to ensure deadlines are met. Repairs are undertaken to windows, doors, facades, copings, cladding, curtain walling and walk on floors; both on construction sites and commercial and residential properties.

As a result of success and growth, we are looking for full time, permanent reliable, hard-working site operatives to join our growing team. Your duties will include glass polishing, glass restoration and paint spraying repairs, depending on the nature of the contract. It would be ideal for candidates to have experience in these areas but not essential. We are welcome to hear from people who have worked in roles such as carpenters, painters, kitchen fitters and body shop sprayers.

You will be responsible for undertaking repairs from preparation to completion, to the highest of standards. This is a varied role and you may be required to travel and work away, working on various sites and locations across the country. You will be fully supported by our Head Office team in Kent, with full in-house training, uniform, tools, phone and company vehicle provided.

Your official working hours will be from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and at least 2 weekends per month – although this is not a common occurrence. There will be an element of flexible hours including early starts and late finishes, again this is not a common occurrence.

You must have good communication skills, be adaptable, self-motivated, presentable, be able to work both individually or as part of a team and have spoken and written English.

Applicants must hold a valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) and a full driving licence. Ideally you will have experience of working on construction sites but we are open to all levels of experience, with full training provided (including NVQ’s). Applicants who are IPAF & PASMA ticketed are welcomed, although this is not essential.
