2nd Line Engineer

The Atlas Recruitment Group are working with a Managed Service Provider voted in the top 10 MSPs to work for in the UK. We are currently helping them search for a 2nd Line Engineer to join them on a permanent basis and you will be responsible for handling escalated service requests and supporting the technical team.

The ideal candidate will come from a strong technical background covering 1st/2nd Line Support within a Managed Service environment and will hold excellent communication and relationship building qualities.

From a technical perspective you will need experience in as many of the below areas as possible:

* Microsoft Azure VMs, VPNs, hybrid environments (including sync of directories)
* Microsoft Windows platforms in particular Windows 7-10
* Microsoft Server platforms - 2008-2016 (including core)
* Microsoft Office Versions and Exchange 2007-2016 / Office365
* Virtualization - Hyper-V / VMware
* Network infrastructure - routers, firewalls (SonicWALL), VLAN, WLAN (Meraki), QOS, routing
* Server monitoring, maintenance, and remediation (in-depth Microsoft troubleshooting)
* Security platforms: antivirus (Webroot), OpenDNS, Qualys (vulnerability management), Sophos encryption and/or end point management
* Cloud file sync and share platforms: Drobox, Box, SoonR

You will receive a starting salary of between £30-35,000 depending on experience and the role includes various benefits such as a £2K incentive, private healthcare and more.
