Chemistry Teacher Job - Medway based grammar school - January 2022

I am working with an outstanding grammar school based in Medway to recruit a teacher of Chemistry for January 2022. This contract is permanent and full time.

This teaching job, based in a Medway, requires a Chemistry specialist to work in an outstanding Science department. The successful teacher will deliver KS3 Science and Chemistry at KS4 (GCSE) and KS5 (A-Level). In addition to standard teaching requirements the teacher will deliver an extra-curricular study programme and support the wider science department with whole school initiatives.

This school is over subscribed and very popular amongst local residents. They offer a varied program of GCSE and A-Level subjects underpinned by a comprehensive KS3 curriculum. Students are very academic, engaged in their learning and have high expectations of their teachers and school. Every department is well resourced and has access to fantastic facilities. Many departments are supported by technicians and intervention specialists. Every teacher in this school is part of a comprehensive programme of personal development allowing good teachers to reach outstanding levels and preparing every educator for leadership and specialist roles.

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

Outstanding teaching in KS3 and KS4 Science
Ability to deliver KS5 Chemistry
Ability to motivate and educate very academic learners
In depth knowledge of the GCSE and A-Level curriculum for Chemistry
Willingness to design and implement new ideas in the classroom
