We are making sure teachers are paid fairly based on their quality of work and experience. We are introducing them to fantastic schools in the Kent area that are looking for top teaching talent to support them.

Pearson Whiffin Education are working with several schools in the mid and west Kent area to provide daily support with any cover requirements on a day-to-day basis. The successful teacher will need to have experience in a specific subject or key stage so that the best cover option can be identified. As the position is temporary, you will not be expected to carry out planning and preparation. You will be required manage behaviour in the classroom and ensure the students are kept on task, using a lesson plan provided by the regular teacher.

At the end of your working day you will be required to highlight any issues or successes to a designated person within the school so that this can be followed up.

We work with both mainstream and SEN schools within the Kent area so applicants from both types of backgrounds and experiences are welcome to apply.

Our schools offer fantastic support to its teachers and actively encourage supply teachers to provide feedback on their experience. A familiar face within a school is very important and our schools will do their up most to make their school a place you would want to return to.

In order to apply for this role you must have the following:

* Experience of teaching within a UK school within the last 2 years
* QTS or QTLS is desirable but not essential
* Able to commute within the Mid and West Kent area
* Good, strong classroom management skills
* Referee details for us to contact from a UK based school within the last 2 years

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. A current in date DBS check is desirable but we will have to process a new check. All our teachers are met with first face-to-face so that we can properly discuss your requirements and our best practice.

Pearson Whiffin Education works in line with the Department for Education guidelines and thoroughly checks all candidates prior to placement. Teachers are asked to provide their current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and complete a new check through Pearson Whiffin Education before commencing a role. Candidates who are signed up to the update service will be asked to provide their DBS details.
