Reed Accountancy & Finance is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client's finance team based in Tunbridge Wells. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for various essential tasks, including but not limited too:

Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities:

*Raise daily sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
*Process accounts payable data, verifying accuracy, and entering information into the accounting system.
*Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
*Pro-actively resolve accounts payable queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders, providing efficient and courteous support.
*Conduct BACS runs for payment processing, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
*Raise manual payments as required, adhering to proper authorisation protocols.
*Chase for outstanding debt efficiently and effectively
*Manage the daily sales processing, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
*Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, both electronic and physical, for easy retrieval and audit purposes.

Accounts Assistant Qualifications and Requirements:

*Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role.
*Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
*Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
