Your New Role
As Principal Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Account Director and play a pivotal role in delivering operational excellence across a defined area of a major contract. You'll be responsible for managing a P&L of £10m-£29m and leading a team of 50-100 people. Your focus will be on driving performance, improving margins and cash flow, and ensuring service excellence through effective resource and supply chain management.
Key responsibilities include:

* Developing and executing the business plan for your area in line with contract strategy.
* Leading financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
* Managing supplier and subcontractor relationships to ensure service delivery and profitability.
* Supporting bids and mobilisations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Promoting a culture of compliance, safety, and customer-centricity.

What You'll Need to Succeed

* Proven experience managing operational teams and delivering against business plans.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting P&L performance.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
* A track record of leading change, driving improvements, and managing health and safety.
* Technical competencies such as IOSH Managing Safely and environmental awareness.
* A customer-focused mindset and the ability to uphold and promote company values.
