A market leading business services company is looking to recruit a high calibre credit controller to join their fast‑paced finance team on a temporary basis and play a key role in reducing overdue debt and improving cash flow.

Your new role

* Outbound collections calls to customers, handling a very high volume of daily dials to secure immediate payment of outstanding balances.
* Taking payments over the phone quickly, accurately, and securely while delivering a professional customer experience.
* Negotiating payment using strong communication skills to meet daily and weekly cash collection targets.
* Handling inbound calls from customers with questions about payments, arrears, or account issues, resolving queries to encourage prompt settlement.
* Sending follow‑up emails such as statements, reminders, and copy invoices immediately after calls.
* Agreeing short‑term payment plans when needed and ensuring they are followed through.
* Updating CRM/finance systems in real time with call notes, outcomes, and payment activity.
* Prioritising accounts based on ageing and risk to maximise collections.
* Working to KPIs in a fast‑moving, target‑driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
* Escalating complex cases where appropriate while owning day‑to‑day collection activity.
* Balancing firmness with great service to achieve positive outcomes for both the business and the customer.
