This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our professional and friendly team here in Tonbridge, Kent.

Position:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator, to run our Vertical Machining Centres. You will be conversant with Fanuc controls, and can demonstrate a clear understanding of engineering drawings and machining symbols, having the ability to:
• Set, operate and program CNC milling machines efficiently producing products to drawings and specification.
• Plan your own production schedules to produce parts as required by the Production Manager.
• Positioning parts into jigs and fixtures prior to machining.
• Performs first piece dimensional inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by C&G quality standards.
• Set up and run new programs.
• Change CNC tool offsets.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities, making sure the machine is set and left in a safe condition.
• To have a positive and flexible approach to working and good engineering practice.
• To maintain and improve productivity within machine capability to ensure production deadlines are met.
• Once trained, load and unload material manually or with forklift, depending on weight and size.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• A competent machinist either qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or has suitable relevant experience .
• Safety, quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performed.
• Understands health and safety on the shop floor.
• Develops good working relationships with the other employees.
• Has a good working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change.
