Job Title: Part-Time Client Account Reconciliation Clerk
Working Hours: Part-Time, 12-15 hours weekly, days/times negotiable)
Location: Canterbury office initially, but can be combined with hybrid when trained


Winkworth estate agency in Canterbury are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Client Account Reconciliation Clerk for our lettings arm of the business to join our team on a part-time employed or self employed basis. So can be done alongside other accounting commitments.

In this vital role, you will hold daily responsibility for managing incoming client monies from tenants, ensuring all funds are accurately allocated and processed. Our financial integrity is excellent and your role will be ensuring landlords, contractors, and our internal commission accounts are balanced and paid accurately every time to agreed schedules.

You will perform three weekly reconciliations of the client bank account against internal property management and Reapit accounting software. Undertake payment processing to prepare and execute daily or weekly disbursements to landlords and third-party contractors. You will send statements, both monthly and annually and deal with any financial related queries.

To be competent in query resolution and to be able to investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies, unallocated funds, or transaction queries from internal teams, landlords, or contractors immediately.

To maintain precise, up-to-date financial records and audit trails for all client account transactions in compliance with regulatory standards.

We require someone who has proven experience in bookkeeping, sales ledger, or account reconciliation, ideally within a lettings environment, but not limited to this industry.

Key requirements are a high level of numerical accuracy, exceptional attention to detail whilst handling financial data. Software proficiency to learn our own property management software and how it produces reports.

Excellent communication skills to be able to liaise effectively with landlords, contractors, and colleagues to sort out any financial issues in an efficient way and able to resolve their financial queries. Good time management to meet daily processing deadlines independently.
