Invicta Storage Systems Limited are seeking a fabricator to manufacture steel frame sections in our Birchington-on-Sea workshop.
The welding required is predominantly for non-structural fabrication work, involving light gauge steel sections.
Occasionally, there may be a requirement to visit site with a manager to measure up and confirm material take-offs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Measure, cut and prepare light gauge steel sections.
• Weld clean, accurate frame sections to the required
specification.
• Check completed items for accuracy and quality before
they leave the bench.
• Work safely and maintain a tidy, organised workshop area.
• Attend occasional site visits with a manager to measure up
and confirm take-offs.
Full training will be provided on our fabrication system and our approach to preparing/marking up drawings.
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
• Previous workshop fabrication experience, including
welding light gauge steel frames.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Confident working both independently and as part of a
small team.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to understand
drawings and discuss/plan work with the workshop team
and Contracts Manager.
• Physically able to handle light gauge steel sections safely
in a workshop environment.
• A full driving licence is preferable for occasional site visits.
Hours and Salary
Hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 38 hours per week.
Salary: To be discussed, depending on experience.
