Barker Munro is pleased to be working with this growing organisation who are currently looking to add a Senior Underwriter to their team.

The organisation focus on SME commercial business, taking a comprehensive view of partnering with their clients whilst offering them good risk management advice. A large UK base, with multiple sites and a large book of property and casualty business.

They are currently looking to fill the role of Senior Underwriter to join the Kent office. The company operate a very trading focused underwriting centre, where you will play a key role in securing new business and handling a portfolio of existing clients. As a senior underwriter, you will make your own underwriting decisions and be seen as a key 'go to' person in the office.

Daily duties as a Senior Underwriter would include, but not be limited to:

- Handling new business, mid-term adjustment and renewal enquiries displaying underwriting judgement.
- Converting new business opportunities and maintain renewal retention.
- Ensuring documentation is underwritten in accordance to company and FSA regulation.
- Consistent track record of leverage new business opportunities and planning and prioritising

The role would probably suit an individual with good knowledge of commercial underwriting with particular focus on the SME market. This would be an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, robust underwriter who has is able to develop strong broker relationships.
