Leay are looking to recruit a trainee estimator to assist with our tender returns. Working alongside the pre-construction team you will be responsible for setting up and assisting in the compilation of project costing documents, conducting material takes offs and liaising with our material sub-contractors to obtain project pricing, as well as managing the company tender follow up procedures.

This position comes with long term progression in mind. The successful applicant will be given the relevant training which will give the applicant the relevant experience and knowledge to be able to progress within our organisation.

Academic and Trade Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• GCSE English Grade C or above
• GCSE Maths Grade C or above
• A good understanding of MS Office Software

Desirable Qualifications

• Basic understanding on the workings of Microsoft Excel – particularly with regard to formatting, calculating and grouping.

Work Experience and Skills

• Previous experience in an estimating role would be good but not essential.
• Relevant training would be provided to the successful applicant
