B2B Events Sales and Account Manager

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a sales person to join this leading international Events company in west kent.

Established for circa 20 years and growing, this role is a mix of sales, account management, developing long term relationships with clients, both over the phone and face to face. Its a great opportunity to be office based whilst meeting clients, attending events and networking.

This role will suit someone who has sales experience, preferably in the media or events sales sector.

The role:

Sales person with skills and knowledge in B2B sales.

Execute sales strategy to achieve individual targets along with the team target.

This will involve selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages to existing and new customers through cold calling and account management.

You will also be required to develop and attend face to face meetings.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Revenue generation, maintaining call rates, accurate and timely administration. Being highly organised.

Planning required; researching markets to identify new prospects and sectors, building prospect lists and monthly sales plan.

Execution required to; follow up and close incoming sales leads, cold calling of identified new potential exhibitors, rebooking previous exhibitors, attending other exhibitions to canvass prospects, face to face meetings with prospects and account management of 'booked’ exhibitors.

Ideal Person:

Confident, professional, outgoing.

Driven by career opportunities and financial gain.

This role would suit a target driven individual with previous sales experience. Exhibition sales is an advantage but not essential.

Happy to pick up the phone and make sales calls

Enthusiastic and positive

Have previous experience in sales

Well organised and methodical

Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships and close sales

Have excellent written communication skills

Be comfortable with selling over the phone and face to face.

Experience in one-on-one sales situations

An approachable, friendly demeanour

Professional behaviour

Ability to travel/stay away on occasion to attend trade shows

Full driving licence

Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft applications

Team player

Annual basic salary to 26k - £30k depending on experience, plus commission
