Are you an experienced administrator, with a high degree of numeracy and confidence with figures? Do you have excellent experience of using spreadsheets and databases and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel? If so this 9 month, full time maternity cover position could be ideal.

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of administrative support to the Grants & Contracts team. As Grants & Contracts Coordinator you will be the first point of contact for project enquiries, and you will provide regular and ongoing specialist project support to University staff, students and external clients in order that projects can begin, progress and complete successfully.

As Grants & Contracts Coordinator you will:
• Undertake a range of administrative responsibilities to support and facilitate the smooth running of the work of the team and to support the team in providing a professional service, internally and externally
• Provide support, information and advice to staff across the University to develop projects, including consultancy, training, funding grants and tenders that are well-written, fully costed and meet all funder and university requirements, whilst working to deadline
• Provide academic staff with specialist advice and guidance on applications procedures, budget eligibility, the implications of the terms and conditions stipulated by funding bodies, and the design of the project to optimise the benefits that may be derived from the funding opportunities available to them

To be successful in the role you will have/be:
• Experience of administrative or clerical work in a professional environment
• Experience of using spreadsheets and databases and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• A high level of written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage time, to prioritise a heavy workload and to meet deadlines
• Proven experience of the administration of research grants or contracts in a University context
