A new opportunity has arisen within a manufacturer and distribution business for a Head of Finance. You will support the needs of a growing business.

The Head of Finance role will suit a qualified accountant with strong financial reporting skills. Someone who is tenacious and looking for a new challenge within a fast-paced department. Ideally, you will have trained within accountancy practice and gained experience in commercial environments.

Your role will involve:
• Preparation of management accounts
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasts (including cash forecasts)
• Inter-Company reconciliations and the analysis of information
• Ad hoc reporting to aid the departmental management team
• Management of the Accounts team, helping to train, mentor and develop them
• Working with internal and external auditors
• Assisting the management team in the absence of the Finance Director
The ideal candidate will be:
• Be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
• Demonstrate commercial knowledge/ experience (ideally from within a product rather than services background)
• Have had previous management accounts and purchase ledger experience
• Possess staff management experience
• Have a proactive approach, and display an ability to challenge where appropriate
• Demonstrate excellent working knowledge of Excel
• Be a confident communicator, adept at sharing information with non-finance colleagues
• Display excellent time management and organisational skills, leading by example
• If possible, also have audit experience and familiarity of importing from the Far East
