Do you have logistics experience and want to work on a part time basis for 3 months????
This is an interesting new instruction with an established client, a global manufacturing organisation and key employer in the area, for a Part Time European Import & Export Compliance Assistant. The role is placed within the European Logistics Team.
Hours of work:
This is a part time role, 10am – 3pm Monday to Friday, so 25 hours per week, for a period of 3 months.
A favourable hourly rate is available.
The role would be home based in the short term, but may move to 2 days on site and 3 days working from home, so a little flexibility required.
The main purpose of the role:The role is responsible for assisting the Import & Export Manager to upkeep and check all customs data within the European operations of the business.
What experience will you need in order to meet the requirements of the role?
Ultimately this would be perfect for an individual with logistics experience.
You will require good communication skills, good levels of numeracy and a strong attention to detail.
Previous experience in customs procedures would be helpful.
Any experience using SAP also helpful.
Knowledge of the export sales process and shipping documentation.
An understanding of INCO Terms 2020 .
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Providing assistance with all import shipments to UK, France & Germany.
Filing and recording all Vendor’s import commercial documentation.
Provide timely and accurate import clearance instructions.
Assist 3rd part logistics with important/export compliance requirements.
Upkeep of Supplier Declarations of origin.
Provide Commercial Invoice for returns and dispatches out of the UK.
