Lead QA Engineer - Selenium, WebDriver, Cypress - Medway - Up to £55,000 - ASAP Start

Due to continued growth in my client's team they currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lead QA Engineer who can play a key part in pushing their automation to the next level.

You will be joining a very talented and highly ambitious software team made up of Software Engineers, Product Owners/Managers, UX and BA's to help design, implement, deliver and support the company's products and integrations.

Skillset Required

* Proven background as a Senior QA Software Engineer within Automation
* Strong knowledge with test automation and testing frameworks
* Experience writing test automation frameworks using Selenium, WebdriverIO, or Cypress
* Selenium, Appium, WebDriverIO, Cypress
* Experience implementing different testing strategies to assure the quality of web-based applications
* Working in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
* Entity Framework
* SQL Server

Daily Duties

* Design, implement and maintain automation code in an agile environment Drive design and building of innovative and performant features into the next generation of software applications.
* Develop, integrate & document libraries and frameworks
* Build and track quality into agile product lifecycle encompassing requirements, design, code, testing, delivery and support
* Oversee and contribute to the coverage and execution of the existing tests and drive the transition to more test automation
* Identify strategies for testing engineering deliverables, including a balance of API automation, UI automation and exploratory testing
* Collaborate with software engineers to create and code tests concurrently with product development
* Identify quality weaknesses, suggest solutions and drive/initiate change
* As a member of an agile team, write new feature code or new test automation frameworks based upon business needs
* Advise product owners and UX on what's feasible technically, partner in user requirements translation to technical specifications. Participate in product planning sessions as technical SME
* Support products, identify and fix root causes of production incidents, own troubleshooting and resolution of production issues across teams
* Own product quality and work to quickly address production defects.
* Serve as a technical lead for your team as needed or special purpose projects per business priority. Identify & own coaching opportunities.
* Stay current with learning current trends in technology and mentor and guide junior engineers and interns.
* Partner with architects, engineers, development managers, product managers, agile coaches across the engineering practice in an agile environment, with scrum implemented at scale globally.
