Our client, an acquisitive and highly successful Group, are looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager to join their team. Working closely with the Head of Finance, this role will take responsibility for the delivery of the financial planning, analysis and budgeting for the Group and support the provision of key financial information to support the business in accurate commercial decision making. The role offers hybrid working between home, their Kent offices and London.
This an excellent opportunity to join a market leading business in a commercially focussed, business facing role.
Key areas of responsibility to include:
- Supporting the month end process, including ensuring accurate and timely reporting whilst coordinating investigation of variances to budgets and forecasts with commentary.
- Driving and supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes, highlighting risks and opportunities and seeking out ways to improve accuracy of the forecasting.
- Acting as a business partner, building relationships with managers cross functionally across the business, including supporting the operations team.
- Ensuring timely and accurate submission of reporting to the Group.
- Managing and driving KPI’s and undertaking business critical analysis including on customer profitability and growth opportunities.
- Project based work including responsibility for driving cost savings.
- Adopting a continuous improvement approach and driving relevant systems changes.
Candidates will be formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and possess a strong sense of initiative, commercial acumen and the drive and ambition to make a difference and add value. Experience of budgeting is essential. Strong IT skills including advanced Excel and proficiency with an ERP system are a pre-requisite.
