My client is seeking a Relationship Manager to join them on a full time, and permanent basis.



This role will proactively manage and undertake the administration of the lending process from the initial introduction to drawdown of funds as well as proactively engage clients to promote the range of financial solutions that are on offer to existing and new clients. There will be the opportunity to visit clients and attend sector events when appropriate.



Duties include:

* Acting as the initial point of contact for potential lending clients from introduction, through initial credit assessment to allocation
* Managing and undertaking the administration and progress of the lending process, providing support to clients and staff from initial introduction to drawdown, maintaining contact with the Lending Support Officers to ensure each case progresses
* Maintaining up to date accurate records of client contact and achievement, tracking and reviewing client performance and proactively reporting on any necessary action to improve service delivery
* Assisting with the administration and management of existing loan facilities, providing support to clients and staff with annual reviews and ongoing monitoring as required
* Proactively engage with new and existing clients promoting all relevant products and services to maximise business opportunities, contributing to the departments set target
* Building strong working relationships and provide support to both internal managers and teams, aswell as external clientele
* Working proactively with client management teams, customer services and marketing to achieve business goals, annual objectives, and targets such as:

* Develop relationships with introducers, accountants, solicitors, and valuers.
* Attend conference/exhibitions when required.
* Actively pursue and convert new and existing Client business opportunities
* Recognise the needs of a client and suggest new services or improvements.



The successful candidate will have:

* A background in lending/customer service preferably within financial, fundraising or operations environment
* Knowledge of the charitable sector and the different types of charities required - preferred
* Experience & understanding of post sanction loan processing
* Understanding of legal terminology relating to lending and the securing of assets
* Knowledge of the credit cycle and of loan servicing functions
* Influencing and proactive relationship management skills
* Business development skills to drive growth
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* Strong MS Office ability
* Flexible to travel between Kent and London offices as and when required
