We are working in partnership with one of our Dartford based clients to recruit a permanent Transport Planner, who will be based within the Transport Department.
As the Transport Planner you will be responsible for ensuring that an efficient transport planning process is in place to meet agreed delivery schedules and customer requirements using a fully trained and assessed driver workforce. Optimising the fleet use whilst achieving service levels, cost criteria and human resource commitments. As you will be assisting the Transport Supervisor with other duties as and when required you will need a flexible approach to work duties.
For this role you will need to have an extensive knowledge of the UK road network with a very good understanding of Working Time Directives and EU Drivers Hours. You should also have the ability to prioritise workloads whilst working to tight deadlines. A full driving licence is required due to working within the Transport team.
Hours: Monday to Friday 11am - 8pm
Benefits: 21 days holiday, Free Parking and a performance related bonus scheme.
