As the Logistics & Dispatch manager you will report directly into the Operations Manager, and form one of seven teams that report directly into them.
Your main remit involves the training and development of employees, delegating of tasks, coordinating the daily workload, documenting productivity and overseeing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Main Duties Include:
. Management of all transport to and from the business
.Proactively monitor logistics services and provide regular feedback to customers should there be a delay to service.
.Ensuring that quality objectives and deadline are met
.Training, supervising and appraising staff
.Leading continuous improvement and encourage involvement of team
.Communicating requirements and objectives to managers and stakeholders
.Assisting with stock takes for accurate inventory levels and administering stock control
.Adhering to all health and safety legislation
.Liaising with transport companies, suppliers and clients on a daily basis
.Devising of staff working rotas
