We are resourcing for a Product Quality Auditor who will oversee quality control processes within a busy, niche manufacturing company based in Dartford.
You will responsible for developing testing parameters for a range of products, reviewing for industry compliance and assessing production procedures. A key area of the role will be for looking for improvement in all quality related aspects of the business.
The role
* Developing and supporting every aspect of internal audit quality systems from audit planning, implementation, feedback and re-auditing to improve the business.
* Carrying out incoming inspection of goods supplied against defined standards and requirements. Working with suppliers to improve quality standards
* Identifying test parameters for products in line with specifications and ensuring that products comply with industry standards.
* Evaluating production stages and testing the composition, appearance and functionality of completed products.
* Documenting defects and deviations in the quality process; carry out investigations to establish the root cause whilst making recommendations for improvement
* Review and approve quality based documentation to ensure conformance to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
* Collecting and analysing data; providing teams with meaningful and insightful data analysis in order to support continual improvement; taking responsibility for KPI's within area of responsibility.
* Participate and support in continual improvement activities to ensure systems and processes remain current, stable, and continue to meet business
Candidates applying should have an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance GD&T, with the ability to read drawings and specifications and relate them to a product to determine conformity. In addition, you should have the ability to use manual and machine inspection measuring equipment including but not limited to CMM, callipers and micrometers. Proven experience of working within a mechanical/quality auditing based role, ideally within a manufacturing environment is required. Candidates with a Degree or quality based qualification will be looked at favourably.
