A long established automotive manufacturing plant based in the heart of Medway are looking to supplement their growth with the timely appointment of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
Joining an existing team and providing reactive and preventative maintenance support across the manufacturing shop floor and R&D unit you will be seeking a role that offers great variety and an unrivalled benefits package: Working Monday to Friday 37 hours, days only with 27 Days annual leave with additional Bank Holidays, Dental plan, Staff discount incentives, On site gym and subsidised canteen to name a few.
With a hands-on approach, you will be comfortable in working to tight deadlines in order to ensure that production deadlines and timescales are met.
In order to be considered, you will be a skilled maintenance engineer with a proven industrial background. Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and fault finding would be required alongside capability of reading engineering drawings and problems solving experience.
A working knowledge of electrical engineering would be highly advantageous to facilitate isolation of motors/sensors etc. Any practical welding, milling, turning, grinding are of benefit.
The successful applicant will be a skilled communicator with the ability to work closely with internal departments effectively in order to achieve shared and common business goals. Able to work effectively in a team, but also autonomously - you will possess a strong work ethic and you'll be committed to making a difference to the business.
