Role: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)
Location: Gillingham, Kent
Salary: £Neg + Bens per annum plus overtime
Benefits: Pension, canteen and car parking
Hours: Basic 40-hour week
Working Hours -
Mon-Thurs 7 am-16.30 and Fri 7 am -11 am
Mon-Thurs 7.30 am- 17.00 and Fri 7.30 am - 11.30 am

KHR is working with a leading manufacturing company who are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team.

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing all of the on-site production machines whilst working with the production team to resolve any technical issues that may arise.

This role would suit someone who has worked within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is looking to take the next step in their career.

Job Description:
- Maintain and service production machines.
- Work with production staff to resolve technical issues within a manufacturing environment.
- Liaise with the on-site tool room for the manufacture of required parts.
- Excellent fault-finding ability and root cause analysis are a must.
- Ability to source parts and purchase at the lowest cost in the shortest lead time.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential
- HNC or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience with hydraulics accompanied by basic electrical knowledge is a distinct advantage.
- Flexibility outside of working hours in emergency situations
- Logical thinker with sound mechanical understanding.
- Experience in machine setting and operation.
