Our client, an international leading manufacturing company based in Snodland, is recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join their rapidly expanding company.

As a member of the Leadership Team, the HR Manager will have a clear understanding of the business strategy and objectives and how HR can support the achievement of this. To help drive change through the Organisation and to manage and mentor the Office Coordinator, providing support when needed.

To support the UK Head of HR, in providing a comprehensive, professional and customer focused HR service employees and managers and to support the implementation of the HR strategy.

The key areas of responsibility for the HR Manager include:

- Learning and Development
- Employee Relations
- Recruitment and Selection
- HR Projects and Administration .
- Engagement
- Succession Planning and Talent Management

Your role will include:

- To be responsible for recruitment and selection activities, including developing job descriptions, advertising of vacancies to source suitable candidates and for liaising with applicants and line managers to assist with the process, ensuring that costs are minimized.
- To be responsible for carrying out interviews together with line managers, senior management and the UK Head of HR, ensuring that the company recruitment policy is adhered to at all.
- To be responsible for ensuring that the end of probationary period review meetings are scheduled on time and for conducting meetings together with employees and line managers.
- To assist and coach line managers in the assessment, development, motivation and management of employees, ensuring that objectives are set and performance appraisals are conducted for each member of the team and ensuring that all have the appropriate skill set to achieve their objectives and are competent in their roles.
- To ensure that a culture of performance management is developed and that training and development needs are identified during the process or from business planning needs and are followed up.
- To develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with employees, managers and other third parties demonstrating professional credibility at all times and providing an excellent HR service to the business.
- To provide advice and assistance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures and legislation, ensuring that they are accurately interpreted and up to date information is provided.
- Help to develop, coordinate and lead the TH employee engagement strategy.
- To work with the leadership team and Head of HR to create worthwhile and valuable initiatives to increase engagement within the workforce.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Ideally educated to degree level
- CIPD Level 5/7
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Knowledge and experience gained working for a multi-site organisation
- Good level of knowledge of employment legislation.
- Experience in providing advice and support to managers.
- Experience of identifying development needs and performance management and feedback.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with all issues of business, especially when handling sensitive situations and information.
- A confident communicator (both verbal and written) with a personable and professional
manner and the ability to interact and relate to all levels of staff and build strong working relationships.
