This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing employee-owned Plumbing & Electrical New Build Installation and Maintenance Company based in Maidstone, Kent. We’ve been established since 2011 and looking to grow and expand with new ideas and processes. Experience estimating plumbing and mechanical works is required, some knowledge of plumbing and heating systems would be beneficial however training can be given. Previous use of standard computer packages such as word and excel would also be great.

Typical day in the life of a junior mechanical estimator:

· Receiving and downloading new project documentation sent over from our clients.

· Printing off drawing packs & creating new enquiry folders on our internal estimating folders.

· Accurately measuring pipework & undertaking take offs from drawings & quantifying materials

· Sending out tender drawings & specifications to our specialist contractors & supply chain members.

· Accurately creating estimates for our projects, typically covering works such as plumbing, heating systems, drainage and rainwater, ventilation systems & sanitaryware with a range of specialist services as well.

· Documenting & discussing any conflicts or mistakes within the information we are given.

· Value engineering.

· Assisting in tender meetings either face to face with our clients or via online video calls.

· Assisting and attending occasional site surveys – all travel paid for!

· Building relationships with new and existing clients and understanding client trends.
